World Down Syndrome Day Initiative

Bobcats have been challenged to run, walk, or bike for 3 hours and 21 minutes March 1-21.  Students will track their progress on a log, and have opportunities to meet their goals during recess by inviting teachers and classmates to join in on the fun as they celebrate their peers and the growth of our inclusion program.  The program started in 2019 thanks to the support of the Catholic Coalition for Special Education, which celebrates its 18th Annual Spring Benefit on March 25, 2023.

Want to get down?  It’s not too late! Share your pictures by email or tagging @stbarts_school with #stbartshasheart and don’t forget to Rock Your Socks on 3/21!

Parents, Students, Teachers, and Volunteers Recognized

To support the journey through Lent, we have planned a series of activities and opportunities to deepen the community’s faith and understanding of this holy season.  All students will participate in weekly Stations of the Cross and a special presentation by the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Guild on discovering our purpose from God through the life and words of Mattie.  Students will also partake in Catholic Charities’ Lenten Food Drive and the  CRS Ricebowl, a program that invites families to reflect on the challenges of global hunger—and the Gospel call to care for our global human family. Beyond the paper collection boxes for monetary contributions, CRS Online offers a plethora of resources for daily reflection throughout the liturgical season with a daily calendar to guide prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.  Join us on the journey!
