St. Bartholomew School is a Catholic, co-educational, Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade school, located just inside the beltway in Bethesda, Maryland.  We prepare our students to be active global citizens who live the Word of God and who are ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  Come see the big impact made by our small class sizes, inclusive values, and innovative teaching methods.

Summer Learning 2023

Discover new trails this summer

Avoid the "summer slide" and discover the joy of reading for pleasure. Parents: read or listen to books together and explore new titles, genres, and authors.  Bobcats K-4th have summer packets, grades 5-8 have assigned summer coursework, including book reports and iXL exercises.

Get a head start to the season

St. Bart’s organizes sports teams for students and parishioners through the Archdiocese of Washington Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and is staffed solely by volunteers.  In an effort to get a head start on scheduling our Fall soccer practices, we'd like to gauge preliminary interest from prospective coaches/volunteers. This will allow us to prepare our schedule well in advance of the new school year.

Parents interested in coaching, assisting, or volunteering in any other capacity: please fill out this survey.

Registration for Fall Soccer and Cross Country will be posted soon.

Donate today!

This fund, named in honor of retired Principal Frank English supports our goals of continuing to provide students with access to the full St. Bart's educational experience, encouraging participation in activities inside and outside the classroom, and holding all students to the highest standards regardless of ability. As a community, St. Barts fosters and celebrates Christian values-- instilling in our students the importance of character, integrity, service and compassion-- all of which Mr. English demonstrated with great consistency and tenacity.  If your child has ever received the support of our reading or resource specialists, benefitted from the Language Foundations program, participated in a social skills class, or simply benefitted from the friendship of a classmate that may learn differently, we hope that you will make a gift today.
