ATHLETICS AND CYO
CYO at St. Bartholomew
Sportsmanship is an important aspect of a St. Bartholomew School education. Athletics provide our students, parishioners, and their families the opportunity to pursue authentic teamwork, competition, and fair play.
We encourage you to participate on our many CYO teams when they are in season, including soccer, basketball, track, or cross country.
Soccer: Teams are organized by the age of players as of August 31, 2022. 14U boys/girls (typically 7th and 8th graders), 12U boys/girls (typically 5th and 6th graders), 10U boys/girls (typically 3rd and 4th graders, 8U boys/girls (2nd graders but may include 1st graders), and 7U Co-ed (1st graders and kindergarteners).
Fees: $145 | Registration typically ends in mid-August
Cross Country: This sport is open to Kinders and above. Whether you are a new runner or skilled, we welcome all to come run with us. This a fun way to improve your speed and endurance. Practices will begin when school starts. Meets are held on the weekend and run from mid-September through October.
Fees: $75 | Registration typically ends in mid-August
Coaches and volunteers are needed! Please email our School & Parish CYO coordinator, Mr. Strother to help out in any capacity. Your time, positive attitude, and enthusiasm are sure to make this a great season for our Bobcats!

Physical Education

Physical Education is very important to a child's growth and overall health. The goal at St. Bartholomew School is to help children find a variety of ways to be physically active so that they enjoy all of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social benefits that come to someone who is physically active. Each day we focus on different skills, sports, and games to foster an active and positive environment.
Children are at different developmental levels, with a variety of needs and interests. For this reason, all of the children are provided with experiences that are both beneficial and enjoyable. Each lesson accounts for the wide range of skill and fitness levels that characterizes children at this age level.
Extracurricular Sports & Activities

Sportsmanship is a pillar of a St. Bart's education, and our students participate in a wide variety of sports outside of school, competing on the recreation level all the way up to elite club sports.
