Welcome to St. Bartholomew Catholic School!
Thank you for visiting our vibrant and distinguished Pre-K through Grade 8 coeducational school, where faith formation and academic excellence converge to educate the whole child. We believe the very best education nurtures the mind and soul, preparing children to excel academically while leading lives of faith, character, and purpose.
But, St. Bartholomew is more than a school—it is a home away from home. From the moment you walk through our doors, you will find a community where students are known by name, and teachers are deeply committed to helping every child reach his or her God-given potential. Our students and families feel like they belong here because they do.
Because our purpose is to lead hearts to Christ, faith is at the center of everything we do. Through daily prayer, Mass, the sacramental life, and service, students grow in virtue while developing the moral leadership needed to serve others and make a positive impact on the world.
Our rigorous academic program complements this strong spiritual foundation. Guided by the Archdiocese of Washington's academic standards, we incorporate the foundational practices of the Classical Curriculum, evidence-based instruction, and STEM to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Small class sizes allow our dedicated faculty to know each student well, providing the support and challenge every child needs to succeed. Beyond the classroom, students discover and develop their talents through athletics, music, and the arts.
We are equally committed to each child's social and emotional growth. In a culture rooted in respect, acceptance, and compassion, students build confidence, resilience, and empathy. Our Inclusion Program reflects this commitment by providing students with Down syndrome the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive alongside their peers, enriching our entire community through their example of kindness, friendship, and love.
Above all, St. Bartholomew offers a well-rounded educational experience where faith, academics, and community come together to help every child flourish. I am honored to build upon the strong foundation established by the dedicated leaders, educators, and families who have shaped our school and look forward to continuing that legacy alongside our pastor, exceptional faculty, and administrative team.
We invite you to visit our beautiful campus in the heart of Bethesda's academic corridor, meet our exceptional students and faculty, and experience firsthand the faith, excellence, and sense of community that define St. Bartholomew Catholic School.
Come grow and flourish with us!
