Lauretta Rudolph Memorial Gift
For more than 20 years, Mrs. Rudolph inspired students through her teaching of social studies and literature, helping them see the rich connections between history, art, music, and the written word. She was known not only for her intellectual curiosity and innovative integrated curriculum, but also for her generosity of spirit — mentoring young teachers, leading extracurricular programs, and nurturing a lifelong love of learning in all whom she taught.
In her memory, and in consultation with former colleagues, St. Bartholomew School is establishing a one-time Lauretta Rudolph Integrated Studies Fund. This tribute fund will support humanities-based and interdisciplinary learning experiences for students — the very work to which Mrs. Rudolph devoted her career.
Gifts to this fund will be used to enhance:
-
Integrated history and literature resources
-
Humanities projects that connect learning across disciplines
-
Enrichment experiences that reflect Mrs. Rudolph’s belief in education as transformative and deeply human
This is not an ongoing scholarship, but a collective, one-time opportunity for alumni, former colleagues, and friends to honor a teacher who gave so much of herself to this community.
We invite those whose lives were touched by Mrs. Rudolph — whether as students, colleagues, or friends — to consider participating in this tribute. Together, we can ensure that her passion for learning continues to shape and inspire St. Bartholomew students for years to come.
May her memory be a blessing.
**Gifts can also be accepted by check payable to St. Bartholomew School or Venmo @StBartBethesda memo: Lauretta Rudolph Fund
